We coach educators preparing for retirement how to get the most from their portfolio and state benefits and minimize tax.

We have coached hundreds of clients, particularly educators in New York State, on planning and transitioning into retirement. We have deep expertise in taxes and retirement planning, the New York State teachers retirement system, and how to relocate to another state after you retire.

If you are within five years of retirement, download our free report “The Five Things Every New York State Educator Needs to Know Before Retiring.”

If you are like most approaching retirement, you have specific questions on your mind:

  • Do I have enough to retire?
  • How much can they get from their state pension?
  • Is my portfolio set up the right way for retirement?
  • What’s the best way to take income from their different accounts?
  • How do they reduce the taxes on that income?

Our process guides you through that. We even get on the phone with Albany to work out the best scenario for you and project (and prepare) your taxes.

Successful transitions require a plan, and retirement is a big transition. We factor in the variables to help plan for how much it will take to have an income for life.

Saving for retirement takes one kind of portfolio. Being retired takes a different kind. We tailor your portfolio to your stage of life.

So much of financial success is based on keeping as much of your income as possible. And your biggest expense is probably what you have to share with the government. Our tax preparation services help make sure you keep as much as possible.

Some of the biggest risks to retirement success are the premature death of an income earner and catastrophic healthcare costs. We will advise you on how to mitigate those risks.
